trabajar = to work (base form)
Trabajo en Manchester.  (I work in Manchester.)

verb in past tense:
e' (--ar)
i' (--er/ir)

hable' = I talked
comi' = I ate
trabaje' = I worked

Hable' con John ayer.  (I spoke with John yesterday.)
salir = to go (base form)
Sali ayer. (I went out yesterday.)
No comi' ayer.  (I didn't eat yesterday.)
Lo bebi'.  (I drank it.)

llamar = to call (base form)  llamarte = to call you
Voy a llamar.  (I am going to call.)
llamas = you call, do you call
llamo = I call
llame' = I called
llamarte = to call you
te llamo = I call you
lo tengo = I have it.  te tengo = I have you.
me llamo = I call myself
Me llamo Chris = I call myself Chris = my name is Chris.
Te llamo mucho.  (I call you a lot.)
Te llame' ayer.  (I called you yesterday.)
necesitar = to need (base form)
Le llame' porque necesite' algo.  (I called him because I needed something.)

encontre' = I found
Encontre' un anillo caro ayer.  (I found an expensive ring yesterday.)
Encontre' un coche ra'pido.  (I found a fast car.)
pensar = to think
Pense' que te llame' ayer.  (I though that I called you yesterday.)

bastante = quite, very
Volvi' bastante tarde.  (I came back quite late.  I returned quite late.)

irregular verbs:
tuve = I had
pude = I could


Lo tuve ayer.  (I had it yesterday.)
Tuve que volver porque no pude encontrarlo.  (I had to return because I could not find it.)
No pude salir ayer porque tuve la gripe.  (I could not go out yesterday b/c I had flu.)
No pude recordarlo.  (I could not remember it.)
